Yad Vashem – Valley of the Communities
On the slope of the mountain, on which stands the Yad Vashem Museum, a labyrinth of enormous dimensions is carved out of the rock. For almost half a century it has served as a silent memorial to the thousands of Jewish communities of Europe that were lost during the Holocaust. Now, in a joint project with the Compugraphic company, the spectacular site will be resurrected – and with it the voices, sounds, colors and people that filled the Jewish world before the great tragedy. With the help of video mapping, the new installation brings the audience back to a world that is long gone while providing an unforgettable experience – both technological and emotional.
