An engineer building a dome above the leaking nuclear reactor… a doctor making 36 abortions in one night…. a firefighter, still injured by the radiation… a girl who was evacuated from her home… a soldier that learned how to fight an invisible enemy and an officer in charge of removing the nuclear waste from the roof…
In today’s Israel, there are 1608 Chernobyl Liquidators – people who participated in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster. Each year they become fewer and fewer. The film presents their story, as a mosaic of evidences and exclusive never seen before archive footage, woven together into the bigger picture of the disaster, which is told from different perspectives. Thirty years later, Liquidators are returning to the lost world of their past, trying to face their memories, fears and regrets.
