Miki, once a promising photography student and now a producer at an advertising agency, is a partner and mother whose personal and professional life is in crisis—a crisis that threatens to deepen and spiral out of control. Fleeing the news of her four-year-old son’s autism diagnosis, she escapes to gray and rainy London.
Miki ostensibly travels to London to secure a legendary artwork by her former mentor, a piece in which she once had a role that has since been all but erased. Along the way, she enlists the help of friends who have migrated to London in pursuit of their own dreams. In her elusive chase to reconnect with her mentor—whom she cannot meet or reclaim—Miki desperately tries to recapture her social, romantic, and professional past, hoping it might carve a path to a different future. But she confronts the stark realities of a changed present and the spread of COVID-19, which ultimately forces her to return home. By the end of her journey, Miki discovers a newfound ability to face her challenges
